How We Work

We do things differently from the typical 30-minute physio appointment.

Step 1

We Listen and Assess Thoroughly

Your first session is a full hour. We ask about your pain, what you’ve tried, and how it’s affecting your daily life. Then we do a proper hands-on and movement assessment to find the root cause.

Step 2

You Get Treated — Not Just Assessed

Most patients receive hands-on treatment in that first hour. You walk away with three things: a clear diagnosis, relief from treatment, and a written recovery plan with realistic timeframes.

Step 3

Your Whole Care Team, One Building

If your recovery needs exercise physiology, massage, dietetics, or women’s health physio — it’s all here. One set of records, one team that talks to each other about your care.

One Clinic. Everything You Need.

Most physio clinics can only offer physio. If you need massage, they refer you out. If you need an exercise physiologist, that’s somewhere else entirely. You end up repeating your story, your records don’t follow, and your recovery stalls. We set our clinic up to fix that.

Physiotherapy

Thorough treatment from master’s-qualified physios who take the time to work out what’s actually causing the problem. You get a clear explanation and a plan built around your goals.

Exercise Physiology

Once you’re past the acute phase, our exercise physiologists design strength and conditioning programs to keep you moving well long-term.

Women’s Health

Specialist physiotherapy for pelvic health, pregnancy-related pain, post-natal recovery, and lymphoedema management after surgery.

Remedial Massage

Massage therapy that’s coordinated with your physio treatment, not something you have to organise separately with a different provider.

Nutrition & Dietetics

For patients where nutrition plays a role in recovery or chronic condition management, our dietitians work as part of your care team.

Hydrotherapy

Pool-based exercise for patients who find land-based movement too painful. A gentler way to rebuild strength and mobility.

How to Fund Your Treatment

We accept all major funding pathways so cost doesn’t stop you getting started:

  • Private Health Insurance — claim on the spot via HICAPS
  • Medicare (EPC Plan) — GP referral gives you up to 5 funded sessions (gap fee of $29.70 per session applies)
  • WorkCover — workplace injuries covered, we handle the paperwork
  • NDIS — approved NDIS provider for plan-managed and self-managed
  • DVA — veterans welcome, no out-of-pocket on approved claims
  • CTP (Motor Vehicle) — car accident injuries, insurer-billed

No referral is needed to book your first appointment. If you have questions about your cover, call us on (07) 3132 0898 and we’ll sort it out before you come in.

Common Questions

Do I need a referral to see a physio?

No. You can book directly without a GP referral. Our physiotherapists are qualified to assess, diagnose, and create a management plan for your condition. If we think medical input would help, we’ll coordinate with your GP or specialist directly.

What happens at the first appointment?

Your initial session is a full 1-hour assessment. We’ll listen to your history, assess your movement, work to identify what’s driving the problem, and talk through a treatment plan. Most patients get hands-on treatment in that first session too.

How much does it cost?

We provide a fee schedule at booking. Private health fund rebates are available on the spot via HICAPS. WorkCover, DVA, and NDIS patients may have no out-of-pocket costs on approved claims. Patients with an EPC Plan from their GP should be aware there is a gap fee of $29.70 per session.

Do you accept WorkCover, DVA, and NDIS?

Yes, all three. We handle the documentation and reporting. If you’re on a WorkCover or CTP claim, we’ll work with your insurer and employer to keep your recovery on track.

Can you help with gym and training injuries?

That’s a big part of what we do. Whether you’ve tweaked something deadlifting, rolled an ankle playing basketball, or have a nagging shoulder from swimming, our physios understand training loads and can help you get back to your program. We also have exercise physiologists on-site for rehab programming once you’re ready to rebuild.

How far is it from Alexandra Hills?

About 10 minutes by car. Head north on Finucane Rd toward Birkdale, or take Old Cleveland Rd East and turn onto Birkdale Rd. The clinic is at Shop 20a, 120 Birkdale Rd, Birkdale. Parking available on the street nearby.
