How We Work
We don’t do rushed 20-minute appointments where you leave wondering what just happened.
Step 1
We Listen and Assess Thoroughly
Your first session is a full hour. We ask about your pain, what you’ve tried, and how it’s affecting your daily life. Then we do a proper hands-on and movement assessment to find the root cause.
Step 2
You Get Treated — Not Just Assessed
Most patients receive hands-on treatment in that first hour. You walk away with three things: a clear diagnosis, relief from treatment, and a written recovery plan with realistic timeframes.
Step 3
Your Whole Care Team, One Building
If your recovery needs exercise physiology, massage, dietetics, or women’s health physio — it’s all here. One set of records, one team that talks to each other about your care.
One Clinic. Everything You Need.
Most physio clinics can only offer physio. If you need massage, they refer you out. If you need an exercise physiologist to build a return-to-sport program, that’s somewhere else. You end up repeating your story, your records don’t follow, and your recovery stalls. We set our clinic up to fix that.
Physiotherapy
Thorough assessment and treatment from master’s-qualified physios who work to identify what’s causing the problem. You get a clear diagnosis and a plan built around getting you back to your activity.
Exercise Physiology
Once you’re past the acute phase, our exercise physiologists build strength and conditioning programs aimed at getting you back to full capacity, whether that’s running, cycling, or weekend sport.
Women’s Health
Specialist physiotherapy for pelvic health, pregnancy-related pain, post-natal recovery, and lymphoedema management after surgery.
Remedial Massage
Massage therapy that’s coordinated with your physio treatment, not something you have to organise separately at a different clinic down the road.
Nutrition & Dietetics
For patients where nutrition plays a role in recovery or performance, our dietitians work as part of your care team rather than as a separate provider.
Hydrotherapy
Pool-based exercise for patients who find land-based movement too painful. A gentler way to rebuild strength and mobility during recovery.
How to Fund Your Treatment
We accept all major funding pathways so cost doesn’t stop you getting started:
- Private Health Insurance — claim on the spot via HICAPS
- Medicare (EPC Plan) — GP referral gives you up to 5 funded sessions (gap fee of $29.70 per session applies)
- WorkCover — workplace injuries covered, we handle the paperwork
- NDIS — approved NDIS provider for plan-managed and self-managed
- DVA — veterans welcome, no out-of-pocket on approved claims
- CTP (Motor Vehicle) — car accident injuries, insurer-billed
No referral is needed to book your first appointment. If you have questions about your cover, call us on (07) 3132 0898 and we’ll sort it out before you come in.
Common Questions
Do I need a referral to see a physio?
No. You can book directly without a GP referral. Our physiotherapists are qualified to assess, diagnose, and create a management plan for your condition. If we think medical input would help, we’ll coordinate with your GP or specialist.
What happens at the first appointment?
Your initial session is a full 1-hour assessment. We’ll listen to your history, assess your movement, work to identify what’s driving the problem, and talk through a treatment plan with realistic timeframes. Most patients get hands-on treatment in that first session too.
How much does it cost?
We provide a fee schedule at booking. Private health fund rebates are available on the spot via HICAPS. WorkCover, DVA, and NDIS patients may have no out-of-pocket costs on approved claims. Patients with an EPC Plan from their GP should be aware there is a gap fee of $29.70 per session.
Do you accept WorkCover, DVA, and NDIS?
Yes, all three. We handle the documentation and reporting. If you’re on a WorkCover or CTP claim, we’ll work with your insurer and employer to keep your recovery on track.
Is there parking at the clinic?
Yes. The Birkdale clinic has street-level access with parking available on Birkdale Road, right outside.
How far is it from Wellington Point?
About five minutes by car. Head south on Main Road through Birkdale. The clinic is at Shop 20a, 120 Birkdale Rd, Birkdale. There’s parking right out the front.
